Explore how Brooklynites live by stepping into their shoes – and their home! Brooklyn Voices is BCM’s new immersive exhibit that invites families to play in a life-sized communal home made up of a kitchen, a bedroom, and a living room. Discover a diverse collection of our borough’s voices and hear stories from our historical archives, share a family recipe, play hopscotch with a new friend in the streetscape, and discover how our neighborhoods and streets got their names.

Whose stories have been recorded over time and whose have been left out? How do everyday objects convey our values and personal journeys? In Brooklyn Voices, visitors will consider how the space they live in is connected to history and will be invited to share their stories, old and new.
