Solar Panels

To assist in Brooklyn Children's Museum’s green effort, New York City installed four sets of 48 solar panels, attached to the South and East side of the building and on the roof. The graph above reports an hourly total of the amount of energy the panels give back to the city. The kilowatt per hour trend fluctuates as the weather changes; cloud cover, the angle of the sun, and temperature are some factors that change the panels’ output. Dust and dirt also have a large impact so we do our best to keep the panels clean!
