KIDS CAFE

The Museum is pleased to offer a new café for your family to eat at during
your visit! The colorful Kids Cafe offers kid-friendly fare, gourmet sandwiches
and salads, healthy snacks, and assorted hot and cold beverages. Dream Street
Caterers supplies the museum with an array of meal and snack choices.   

Due to limited capacity, groups and families of 6 or more require advance
reservations in the Kids Cafe seating area. Please call the Director of
Visitor Services at  (718) 735-4400, ext. 182.

Our surrounding neighborhood offers a variety of lunch restaurants that may serve
one of your favorite foods . . . or something totally new!

PICNIC IN BROWER PARK (behind Museum)

Brower Park is a great place for a picnic!

Bounded by Prospect Place, Park Place, Brooklyn Avenue, and Kingston Avenue

 

Directions from Museum:

Leave through the front entrance, turn left on Brooklyn Avenue,
walk 20 yards, and turn left into the park.

 

HERU’S JUICE BAR AND FRUIT MARKET (5 minute walk)

Heru’s Juice Bar and Fruit Market features a yummy array of healthy options.
Along with freshly squeezed juices, they also offer delicious salads and flavorful rice plates.

Following traffic on St. Marks, walk one block to Kingston. Turn left on Kingston.
Walk 1.5 blocks. Heru’s is on the right.

 

KINGSTON PIZZA (8 minute walk)

Kingston Pizza offers a full menu of Italian treats.
Stop by for a cheesy Sicilian slice, a hot sausage hero, or some garlic knots.

If you’re looking for a fun place to have a sit-down meal with your family, look no further
than Applebee’s. The restaurant offers special menus for children and plenty of tasty
selections for adults.

Walk north, against traffic, on Brooklyn Avenue to Fulton Street.
Turn left on Fulton Street and walk up a 1/2 block to Restoration Plaza.
