CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY: WEEKDAYS

May 24—July 12, Tuesday—Friday, Noon—3:30 pm

We’re working to improve our building!

Beginning May 24—July 12 there will be loud noise from construction in some areas of our building from Noon—3:30 pm, Tuesday—Friday.

This will affect the World Brooklyn & Neighborhood Nature exhibits. It will be quieter in the Upper Level exhibits (The Big Adventure and Collections Central), the Greenhouse, Garden, Café, Library and Totally Tots. During this time we are offering a reduced admission fee of $5 per person Tuesday—Friday. Weekends will not be affected, and full admission rates will apply. SPRING FREE HOURS

Admission is free every third Thursday of the month 4:00–7:00pm and the FIRST FULL WEEKEND of each month 2:00–5:00pm, except on holiday weekends. (Does not apply to school, camp, or other organized groups.)

UPCOMING FREE SUMMER HOURS

Admission is free every third Thursday 4-7pm and FIRST FULL WEEKEND of each month 2-5pm except holiday weekends. Our free hours schedule has been extended during the summer to include most Fridays, July 19-August 16 (4-7pm);dates listed below.  Free hours schedule does not apply to schools, camps or other organized groups.

ADMISSIONS

Admission is $9.00 per person.

Admission is free for Museum members and children under 1 year of age.

Annual family memberships offer FREE admission for 12 months, and are available beginning at $85.

Admission for camp groups and school groups with advance reservations is a discounted $6 per person.

We are a Blue Star Museum!  All military personnel (active or retired) with ID receive the discount of free family admission up to 6.

An ATM is located in our lobby for your convenience.

THINGS TO KNOW

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (16 years of age or over).

Adults must be accompanied by a child 16 years of age or under.
